there were a bunch of little shits running around or riding around in strollers.
if you do take them. keep a hand on the and make sure they aren't running all over the place. if you take a stroller, do everyone a favor and try not to run over their feet. it annoyed the shit out of me when people were fumbling around with a cell phone and a drink and trying to push a stroller, when all they accomplished was bruising peoples ankles.
that's the end of my rant. careless people shouldn't be allowed in public.

have you contacted the convention itself - seems like that would be the best way to get the info
Heres my thing.. regardless of the "rules", Kids dont belong at auto shows, kids dont belong at most concerts, kids dont belong at tattoo conventions.... Theyre not buying a car and theyre not getting a tattoo. I'm sure you have the greatest most mature and under control kid ever born, but theyre going to annoy someone. If I wanna deal with kids running around my legs, I'll go to disneyland. That s=hit just drives me crazy, I'm sure others will disagree with me....

the only reason why i have to bring the squirt is because i have no babysitter, so you if you are at the convention, you will have to suffer as i have to suffer everyday...
Why do I have to suffer because you have a kid? That's a pretty selfish statement. I see you people, you'll bring your kid to the bar if you can't find a sitter.yodaddynukka wrote:the only reason why i have to bring the squirt is because i have no babysitter, so you if you are at the convention, you will have to suffer as i have to suffer everyday...
Yeah. I disagree.EvilJay wrote:Heres my thing.. regardless of the "rules", Kids dont belong at auto shows, kids dont belong at most concerts, kids dont belong at tattoo conventions.... I'm sure others will disagree with me....
You want acceptance, understanding, a broad range of tolerance and future artists and clients?
Kids are those people. Kids should be included in just about anything and everything with the exception of sex and violence.
Car shows, concerts, and tattoo conventions should be open to all regardless of age or state those rules in huge print on every advertisement long before the doors open.
Kids are the future. Why should they be excluded?
That being said....the children also need to be under control and direct supervision at all times. Not running around. Not screaming. Not spilling food and drink everywhere.
no shit. if you don't have 20 bucks for a babysitter, don't go to a tattoo convention. You should have wrapped it up brother, so WE wouldn't have to "suffer" like you do.yorvo wrote:Why do I have to suffer because you have a kid? That's a pretty selfish statement. piece of shit.
damn, why can't they drive a car then huh ?Motokid wrote:

they will get fucked up at the bar in 15 years so why not give them a beer already ?
because they don't have the capabilities. just like they won't have the capabilities to understand what is going on at a tattoo convention so really, it's pointless to bring them. at every age different responsibilities, different understanding.
it's like the "sorry but you have to be at least this tall to ride the rollercoaster" sign. should have more of those....

I give props to any man who invovles his family in every aspect of life. You're family is your life. Yodaddy, you claim to suffer from your kids so you are obviously not the kind of man I am referring to.
Car shows are not too bad for a kid if you keep them behaved. It's not the kid's fault they are running loose. Concerts I'd have to say depends on the act. I'm not taking my kid to see Gwar. And tattoo conventions are kind of like sex conventions. It's a hedonistic adult event. You should be a certain age to get in. A five year old has no business at a tattoo convention. Don't bring them in the shop either. Should a porn star bring they're kids to the show?

Ok, I don't have kids myself, but I don't see why kids can't be involved in something like that as long as they are kept reasonably under control. I've seen kids be perfect angels in those types of settings and others who run amok but I think it would always be a fun educational opportunity to learn about tattooing and the right ways to go about it. Teach 'em early that way you won't have to deal with the same shit teenagers come on here to ask us about.
Also, babysitters are not cheap and are few and far between to find.
