so... its coming up... and there is a decent list of people attending.
i'm thinking of writing an email to some of the artists to see if they've got someone sitting for them yet. I have 0 idea what i want... and 0 idea who to talk to.
but... i'm down with getting a new piece during the show. i was hoping you guys could take a look at the names and list out any to look into further... or stay away from
i'd really really appreciate some assistance here!

I wasn't to impressed with some of the artists attending. I was planning on going to this convention, but I found a great trad guy at the Baltimore convention and will be there instead. Amber and Sue fom Blue Velvet Tattoo will be in Philly, and I like their stuff. Amber worked on my leg for 5 sits.
amber isn't horrible... but i wouldn't let sue touch me with a crayon...
the more i look through the attending artists... the more i want to burn the place down while they're all in there.
i think i'll be passing on the philly tattoo convention... i had high hopes, and they've been severely crushed

yes they will let anybody in.
If you have an Idea of what you want it is easier to get a spot with a top notch artist. Email them with your idea and if they are excited about it they get back to you. The last Seattle Expo I emailed 4 artist with what I wanted and they all got back to me and wanted to do it. The year before I emailed about10 or 11 with Im not sure exactly what I want and none got back to me.
if i found artists i liked i'd probably be able to muster an idea up and send it around. however, it doesn't sound like any decent one's are really attending.buttwheat wrote:yes they will let anybody in.

chick i'm talking to is apparently related to someone over at Deep Six Laboratory (Paul Acker, Tim Victim, Megan Massacre, etc) But she's only spoken to him twice. so its not really an in of any sort... But i'd love to sit down with Tim
I think i've given up on this show though... its looking like it'll be pretty shitty in general
i saw her stuff. not bad at allGloom wrote:this convention is booty, they have all the whack shops from ny. Our own stacey sharp is gonna be there though

Check out the electric city convention in scranton, PA at the end of march. The artist roster is MUCHHH better. Definitely something to check out.
