I recently got my nose pierced 3 months ago and it is still not completely heale. Is this normal? I also noticed a bump coming, is this infection or scar tissue?

What type of jewelry was it done with? I've noticed that nostril piercings done with a nostril screw or 'stud' take a lot longer than normal to heal. There was a woman that came in to our shop to have her nostril screw changed. It was five months old. When the piercer removed the screw it started bleeding. Absolutely no healing had taken place. This is why we always pierce with a ring. It almost always heals faster and easier.

Nostril piercings that are done with studs and screws can't be cleaned as easily and can be more prone to infection... and the bump.

What were you doing as far as aftercare? This can also affect the healing of the piercing.

Have you gone back to see your piercer yet? That might be a good idea and I'd strongly suggest it. This way the piercer can see what's going on and get to the root of the problem.
