I'm graduating from my BSN program in April. I've been wanting to get my lip pierced but couldn't due to school regulations. I won't have to worry about that in six weeks, but I need to find a way to have a piercing that I can wear to work that isn't obnoxious or disrespectful (I'm going to be a floor nurse for gods sake). Is there a way to do this, without wearing a retainer all the time?

thats a no, you could prob wear a quartz retainer (avoid acrylic - its no good for your body and isnt autoclavable) but your only hope would be to swap the jewlery before and after work - and even with a well healed piercing it would become irritated and eventualy infected.
