Im 34, and for along time I have wanted to get a tattoo, but I never did it, so now I have decided that I want one. Im a gun collector, I love firearms, and I would love to have a Tattoo of An Ak-47 tattooed on my Arm, not sure if I want it on my forearm or my upper arm. Im thinking an all black tatoo, I am really white so im not sure if all black is the way to go.. I feel like im starting come out of my shell... I have yet to see any AK-47 tatoos, so im on a search. Im in the metro Detroit area, why do I feel like its gonna pull me in to addiction lol... What do you guys think?

From what I have seen of his tattoo I really didn't like the way it looked, to each its own. My idea if the Ak-47 is more of a dedication to Mikhail Kalashnikov the Father of the AK-47, I may add color to show the traditional wood on the Ak.

If you really want to do it right, get a portrait of Mikhail Kalashnikov in the background and the AK in the foreground. I would go see Tom Renshaw.

It's so common, duplicated, replicated, and old.
because everyone knows what an ak-47 is.....

Search BME for "AK47" or "AK-47". There are a few.

I've seen some great gun tattoos before, but the shading has got to be dead on for it to look right.

Most Great guns are duplicated and replicated, look at the M-16, how many different companies are making AR's based off of Eugene Stoners rifle? The AK-47 is so common yet still the history behind it is legendary. Don't get me wrong, I like alot of Firearms, FAL's, Revolvers HK's but the simplicity of the AK-47 is where my love is, just a personal preference.
