Not really, as long as you take care of it while you go through your pregnancy and go back to your original weight.

It'll change a little but not much if you take care if it and yourself

It can depend on your genes and where on your hip it's placed. More on the side or more on the front?

its more on the side of my hip... Why does genetics have anything to do with it?

Because it has a lot to do with whether or not you go back to your original weight or not.

You carry the genes of your parents and your skin type is included in this. If your mother or grandmother got stretchmarks it's possible that you will too... then again it might skip a generation.

Being that it's on the side I wouldn't worry as much... but anything inside the hipbone is more of a 'red zone' for stretchmarks.

I was also wondering about pregancy and tattoo's. I really want my next tattoo to be below my belt line on the right side but not on the hip. I don't however want to get my tattoo there if there is a chance it will be distorted when I get pregant. What do you sugest?

sometimes it does the opposite of genes. my mother never got one streach mark w/me and my brother (damn her!) but i ended up w/lots of streach marks....if you don't gain much weight, i wouldn't worry, you'll not likely to get streach marks on your hipbone....

as for a girl who wants a tat on her tummy and worried about pregnancy later - your stomach is gonna take a beating and look like crap anyway, so go ahead and do it while you got the tummy for it now!

Stretchmarks can skip a generation. It skipped my mother... but me and my sisters all have them. My grandmother had them... and we have them in nearly all the same places.
